Don’t worry…you’re in good company Sis!
We’ve all been there.
Pushing harder to push through to ‘one day’.
Sacrificing our health and wellbeing in the now,
And living for the future version of ourselves we think we will finally have time for.
So, let’s talk about how healing, strength, and transformation don’t live in the future.
They only happen here…in the now.
In accordance with who you are being in the present moment.
Your body doesn’t run on a five-year plan.
She only works in the now.
This bite. This breath. This bedtime.
Future you needs present you.
When we choose rest, our body begins repairing immediately.
When we hydrate, our cells start replenishing right away.
When we nourish ourself, our metabolism and hormones respond in real time.
The only way to be the Entrepreneur, Wife, Mother, Sister, BFF, Boss you dream of, is by taking care of you now.
Every single choice we make in the present moment is creating our future.
But ultimately, there’s only who we are in the present.
And every moment of every day is a gift to treat ourselves the way we believe our future Self deserves to be treated.
It’s time to unlearn the condition that results only come with sacrifice, hustle and grind.
That it is ok to abandon yourself in the present in pursuit of the future.
Even if you get the goal, it doesn’t hit like you think it would.
Because you are the neglected version of yourself, unable to receive.
My recommendation is to get started in the most awkward way.
Just get started.
This is not about vision board perfection or nothing.
Start when it’s imperfect, complicated and messy.
Not only will you build the muscle of navigating imperfect moments with grace and self-care
The sooner you start the more experience you have under your belt.
Breathe before you eat and notice what your body actually wants.
Choose water over caffeine when your energy dips.
Go to bed on time and let your body repair while you sleep.
Stretch for five minutes instead of scrolling through stress.
Sound too small?
Too simple?
Good…you’re getting it.
Not everything is “go big or go home!”
As a matter of fact our body really doesn’t like grand gestures.
She prefers incremental evolution over disruptive revolution.
Starvation diets, extreme workouts and heavy supplementation is not her love language.
Micro-habits are the upgrades our body craves.
It’s the small, consistent tweaks that create our health, strength and energy.
So stop postponing your self-care for a future version of you down the road.
Stop hustling past your body’s needs.
Honor her now.
Feed her now.
Rest her now.
Listen to her now.
Because the present moment is where your body does her magic.
And the future you?
She starts here.
